Virtual Reality TVs

VRTVs will be the next generation of televisions -- featuring three-dimensional images, haptic programming, and multi-user interactivity. Some characteristics of computer games and television will probably be combined into centrally distributed, multi-participant, interactive, 3D Virtual Reality television ("virtevision"). Interactive Virtual Reality TVs (VRTVs) may take the place of non-interactive television just as color TVs have largely replaced black-and-white televisions. Further, virtual reality and computer vision has interesting notes about this VR topic.

"Telepresence" involves the remote operation interface engages so much of the operator's sensory information processing potential that the operator feels like they are physically present at the distant setting. This is a higher standard than teleoperation. the boundaries of virtual reality also discusses these concepts.

Sight is the single most vital human sense and three-dimensional detail perception is at the heart of vision. Thus, three-dimensional perception is critical for immersive virtual reality. Our eyes transform light into electro-chemical impulses that are transmitted and processed by means of several progressively more challenging neural cells. Some cells register basic object and picture elements such as surface features and motion. Higher-level cells put together these image elements and make high-level evaluations about what is being seen. Key inputs that people use for 3D sensation are built on this processing system and can be sorted into three basic types: interaction among objects; the geometry of object edges; and the texture and shading of object surfaces. Sub-page use of parallax vision in virtual reality systems covers different information and discussion.

Virtual Reality (VR) can function for sports in several ways. First, VR can provide enhanced training and instruction for taking part in traditional sports. Second, VR can enhance non-participatory engagement in traditional sports that spans, but is constrained to, viewing. Third, VR can make possible new virtual parts for traditional athletics or soley new athletics within virtual worlds. See also: virtual reality for sports training provides different information.
